John Wirzbicki practices in the areas of Social Security Disability and housing. Prior to joining Brown Jacobson, Mr. Wirzbicki worked for Connecticut Legal Services in the areas of housing and consumer law.
While attending law school at the University of Connecticut, he was an intern in the school’s criminal clinic and worked part time for the Office of the Public Defender in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Mr. Wirzbicki has served as a member of the Groton Town Council and is a former member of the School Board of the Town of Groton, the Groton Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Groton Representative Town Meeting. He has served on two Charter Revision Commissions for the Town of Groton. He is currently a member of the Board of the Water Pollution Control Authority.

The hearing office is on the corner of High and Church Streets.
Take the Asylum Avenue Exit off of Route 84. It is Exit 48. Go to the very end of the exit and take a left on Asylum Avenue. You will go down a hill and will see the railroad overpass directly in front of you. Take a left on Spruce Street just before the overpass. Take your next right on Church Street. The hearing office is on your left at the corner of High and Church. There are a number of parking lots in the area. Attorney Wirzbicki often parks in the parking lot on Spruce Street across from the railroad station.

Take Route 95 South to New Haven. Take Route 91 North. Take Exit 3 (Trumbull Street). At the end of the Exit take a left on Orange Street. Proceed two blocks to Grove Street and take a right. Park in the Grove Street Parking Garage. (It’s the most reasonably priced garage and is pretty close to the court. The entrance is just before the end of the first block on Grove Street, on the right hand side of the road. The parking garage is on the corner of Grove and Church.) Proceed south on Church Street (toward the New Haven Green and the downtown area). The hearing office building is a large skyscraper between the old town hall and the federal court building. It will be on your left, about 2-3 blocks from the parking garage, across the street from the New Haven Green. The hearing room is on the 22nd floor.
